Meet Veronica “Yang” Toledo from New Mexico. Yang is a SONF Alumni member and was involved in the 2019 Native Collegiate Artist Residency. We first grew to love Yang upon reviewing her video submission for the Native Collegiate Artist Residency. After listening to her passion and enthusiasm for life and the prosperity of her people, we knew that the possibilities for Yang would be limitless. Now that Yang has earned her high school diploma (and is a first-generation high school graduate), she has continued to serve her community at the local and national level through advocacy. This Spring, Yang helped to push forward The Community Solar Act, (House Bill 9).
Congrats on your bravery to speak with soul Yang! The Soul of Nations Foundation team is very proud of you!

“This is me speaking in support of The Community Solar Act, (House Bill 9). Today the bill passed 8 to 5 and is off to the House Committee on Appropriations. We need to use mother earth’s resources in a more sustainable way. Speak like no one is listening… with soul.”
“A milestone was written in time! There is now a 1st generation high school graduate in the Toledo family. #classof2020”
