THE JACQUES AND NATASHA GELMAN FOUNDATION

The Soul of Nations Foundation is proud to be partnering with the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation for Soul Center for the Arts through a monetary contribution of $25,000, per annum, over the course of two consecutive years, totaling $50,000 between 2023-2025. This partnership is helping to support artists fellowship grants for Indigenous American, African American, and Afro-Italian artists and researchers for exhibitions in Florence, Italy, from 2023 – 2024.
The Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation is funded by Jacques and Natasha Gelman who were world-renowned twentieth century art collectors. The mission of the Foundation is to provide support for emerging visual artists and the arts. To this end, the Foundation has supported and continues to support museums, exhibitions, art scholarships, inner city outreach programs for high school students, studio space and public art. The Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation has supported Soul of Nations art programs since 2018. Partnering with the Jacques and Natasha Gelman Foundation for Soul Center for the Arts’ exhibitions and humanities programs is helping to ensure the stability and expansion of this unique opportunity that fosters American-Italian arts and culture from a contemporary and sociocultural empathetic perspective.
Partnerships help to ensure the stability and expansion of our work toward fostering art and research programming rooted in contemporaneous and sociocultural empathetic themes.

The Soul of Nations Foundation respectfully acknowledges that we currently operate on the ancestral lands of the Munsee Lenape, Piscataway, and Anacostan peoples, which have not been ceded. Thank you for your commitment to Indigenous and Black communities. Please, share our organization’s work with those in your network who are just as invested in BIPOC progression as we are.
